Come-on back and take advantage of another great teleseminar topic. This teleseminar is directed toward clinicians who are uncertain as to the uses, effects, quantities, types, and interactions of micronutrients used in parenteral and enteral nutrition support solutions. The research behind the inclusion and/or exclusion of some micronutrients, dependent upon the pathology and medical status of the patient, as well as the interactions occurring amongst some, is rapidly evolving, but more remains to be elucidated. The seminar will cover requirements, food sources, biochemical/metabolic functions, signs and symptoms of deficiency/depletion, assessment of status and repletion, as well as available clinical research on efficacy of different doses.
