Medications for hypertension, arrhythmia, clot prevention and high cholesterol are widely prescribed for cardiovascular health. Clients do not often realize that herbal remedies and dietary supplements are in the same category as "drugs." Some self-administered products may interact dangerously with prescribed cardiovascular drugs. The goal of the webcast is to make health professionals more aware of possible harmful interactions between herbal remedies and supplements and cardiovascular prescription drugs.
